Chapter 1519 Glen Burnie, Maryland

Chapter 1519 was organized in 1976 with 30 Charter members. Our charter was approved in November 1976. Since that small beginning the membership has grown to 760.

Chapter meetings are held at the Social Hall of Holy Trinity Church, 7436 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, Glen Burnie. We meet at 1:00 P.M. the 2nd Tuesday of each month except July and August.

We are proud of the fact that we operated two Retiree Service Centers. Manned by Stan Jacobs and Don Bender, our Service Officers, the Pascal Senior Center desk at 125 Dorsey Road, Glen Burnie, is open each Monday from 10 A.M. to 12 noon. The other Center at the Curtis Bay Coast Guard Yard was closed on 24 February 2005. Both Service Centers were established in 1993.

Stan was also selected by NARFE as the 2008 "Outstanding Chapter Service Officer in Maryland." This was the first year the award was given.
